He sat on the bed and lit his third joint in 30 minutes. He was beginning to feel zonked but he wasn’t concerned in the least. He had an agenda. He checked his phone. It was 9:54 pm. She was about an hour late, but he didn’t mind. That was typical of her. She was always late. He just kept smoking and scrolling through his timeline. He smiled occasionally when he saw an interesting post. He would also laugh if it was very funny. Sometimes he laughed a little too hard, but he would come to his senses and chide himself.
“Focus man, focus”.
He finished the joint a little too quickly, and he was beginning to get impatient. What was taking her so long? It was now 10:15. She had told him she would be there at 8:30, and she was almost two hours late. He tried calling her again, for the third time tonight only. No answer. Again, still no answer. He was really starting to get annoyed when he remembered this had happened before. Last week Saturday she had told him she would be at his place when it was 9 am, but didn’t show up until 12pm. Maybe that was her new custom. He took a breath and relaxed. That was when he realised the whole room reeked of weed, but he didn’t care and he knew she wouldn’t either. Not after what he was going to do to her. He smiled at the thought, and then popped a Viagra. The erection came almost immediately, as if fueled by the high and the thoughts racing through his head. He had watched the Kama Sutra movie twice that afternoon, and had memorised all eighteen positions and sixty-four modes. Hehe, it was going to be a long night. He was jogged back to reality by a ping from his phone. He checked it and saw that she had texted him.
“Mike, I’m really really sorrry but I can’t make it, something urgent came up. I promise 2 make it up 2 u. Tomorrow maybe?”
He frowned.
“Ah Ohemaa, m’abɔ jack twɛn wo no?”
Now he was really pissed. He was high, horny and alone on a Friday night. He could have gone out with the rest of the boys, but he had stayed back because she had promised to come over. He thought for a minute and then smiled. Thank God for Phoebe. He took his phone and sent a very simple and straightforward text.
“hey, i miss you. come over.😈”
He watched the screen and saw that she was online.
One tick.
Two ticks.
Blue ticks.
Typing…
He smiled.
